Black student Union Presents "Good Eats Unwrapped: The Effects of Junk Food at WBMS"

Congratulations to WBMS Black Student Union for winning 1st Place at the Black Minds Matter Competition!

See the article on SF Examiner

"Good Eats: Unwrapped" is a movement created by the Black Student Union at Willie Brown Middle School.

It presents that the consumption of "Junk Food" (cookies, cakes, candies, chips, soda etc.) by Willie Brown students affects the way we learn, the way we behave, and contributes to littering on campus.

"What may taste good, may not be good for you." "You are what you eat." "Eat to live, and Not Live to Eat." "Clean Up, Clean Up, Everybody Do Your Share" are popular slogans that the B.S.U. has begun to advocate to our student body.

It tackles a critical issue that affects all of our students and affects the performance levels of Black students at our school.

This issue not only affects our school, but also contributes to major health issues within Black communities in the United States.
